It is fun to come to school and find out that you have a twin!
Tan-Grams
Using shapes to follow patterns in pictures of everyday things. Learning that shapes make up everything around us.
And a head tilt to the left to check things out. 😊
Morning Building
I think students would build all day if I would let them. It's a good thing they keep their projects going all week. Projects are taken apart for the weekend and start new on Monday. They use their teamwork knowledge to help each other and add onto each other's building. Their minds are full of ideas.

Flat Building
Using Popsicle sticks and glue the class experimented at flat building. They came up with a lot of creative ideas along with working on their fine motor skill of gluing. "A little dot goes a lot."

Mail for Uganda
We wrote mail to send to our friends at CCLS-U. Mrs. Butterfield and the servant team will be leaving this week.
Thank you for all the donations. The class loved filling up the suitcase.
Sorting all the toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss.
They packed up Mrs. Katie's wagon full of items for CCLS-U!
Puzzles!
Boys riding in a car.
Washing up the new Lego for our classroom.
Construction in the building area.
Reading with friends.
Uni-fix Cubes
Uni-fix cubes are not just for counting but for exploring and measuring too. They began measuring how long different things are in the classroom. They started measuring the table and then started to measure the classroom.
Figuring out how to go over the bench.
Number Recognition
During morning center time we worked on number recognition by sorting number buttons. While sorting and matching numbers they learned the difference between a 6 and a 9, and 2 and 5. They noticed they are upside down. 😄
Parachute Fun in the Gym!
Morning Journals
Each day their journals are adding more and more detail. They are really progressing in their drawing skills and their writing of their names. It is fun to see them come up with a variety of ideas for each journal prompt.
The Beginning of Their Building Projects!
The first part of their building projects began with drawing out their blueprints. Students took time to draw their ideas on paper and use it as a guide for their project.
The next step was to sort through all the wood pieces and find the pieces they needed for their project.
Step three is gluing all the pieces in the right places.
