The Magic House
We had two successful first trips to the Magic House. Mrs. Betty and Mrs. Linda taught us all about the water cycle. Next we had some time to explore in the Wonder Works area and in the Water Room.
Painting of the Building Projects
Some projects needed extra glue to help secure the special designs.
Adding All The Details
The last step was to add all the details to their projects.
Black-Line Documentation
There are a lot of changes going on outside at the construction site. We are continuing to document the different things that we see outside. Students use their observation skills to draw what they see.
Creation Station
Using their imaginations, students created inventions out of everyday items such as tape, straws and pipe cleaners.
Morning Journals
The First Crane Showed Up at the Construction Site.
Go Noodle!
We work our muscles, dance and stretching to the music on Go Noodle.
S.T.E.M.
As part of our building project, we learned about bridges.
What do we use bridges for? Why do we have bridges? How could we make a bridge? Using plastic cups, and Popsicle sticks they used trial and error to figure out how to make a bridge for little bears to cross. Some of the ideas worked while other ideas didn't. We used the errors as a learning tool that not all bridges worked the first time they were built. We also learned that it takes time and teamwork to construct their ideas.
