Blocks are such a simple toy/learning tool. They are fun no matter your age. The children spend a lot of time working together building and learning at the same time.
The Importance of Block Play!

October Photo Journals
Working on their cutting skills, they cut out their October photo. This months photo is their construction photo from their construction project.
Dramatic Play Time
The class has been "playing school", each taking turns being the teacher and leading them in different activities.
Creation Station
Using everyday items such as pipe cleaners, tape and straws, the imaginations start flowing with different ideas to create.
Bridge Building-STEM Enrichment
Using cups and Popsicle sticks, roads and bridges were created for the mini cars and trucks to drive across. The children were able to use teamwork to collaborate ideas for their bridges.

Working on their cutting skills, they cut out pumpkins and created their own spooky faces.

Measuring tapes are fun to measure anything, including your friends.
Falling Leaves
One activity that helps build your child's fine motor skills is to rip paper. They ripped paper to make tiny leaves on their trees or tiny leaves falling from their trees. Their beautiful fall trees are hanging up in our classroom.

We were so proud of each and every one of these kiddos. They greeted all the residents with smiles and such good manors. The faces of the residents lit up when they saw our classes. With respect to the residents privacy, we took only a few pictures while trick or treating.
