Shapes
As we move into our building project, we started off by looking at shapes. Shapes make up everything that is around us. The class was able to create their own ideas out of shape stickers.
City Building
While some were working on their shape creations, other were working on their building skills in the block area.
Jenga
Jenga, to some it might seem like a game, but in preschool it is a learning tool. The small rectangle shape was used to help the children learn about spacial awareness, balance, math, hand-eye coordination, problem solving and team work.

With clip-boards in hand, we headed down the hall to check out the building progress. Our class will be documenting the building progress as the year goes on. Working on their drawing skills, they are drawing what they are observing that is happening in the parking lot.
